Challenge
Our client was struggling with a bothersome problem - after every dry-cleaner outage, especially after the weekend, there was a intense hydrogen sulphide smell. The source of the unpleasant odours was the growth of anaerobic bacteria, which thrived in an environment rich in phosphate and post-production oil. The accumulated biofilm and metabolic products of the bacteria not only disrupted working comfort, but also threatened the hygiene of the entire plant.
Diagnosis
Our detailed analysis showed that the problem was due to several key factors:
- No access to air - The design of the unit prevented effective air circulation, encouraging the growth of bacteria.
- Presence of phosphates - phosphates in the washing bath provided an ideal environment for bacterial proliferation.
- Post-production oil accumulation - The oil acted as a breeding ground for bacteria, intensifying the problem.
- No effective method of biofilm elimination - traditional methods failed to remove deposits and metabolic products of bacteria.

Innovative Solution - Kairos Technology
We have implemented cleaning agents from our range, which has proved to be a breakthrough for the plant in combating the odour problem and optimising the chemical cleaning process. But eliminating odour is not the only benefit of implementing...
Results of implementation
Following the implementation of Kairos technology, we achieved impressive results:
- Complete removal of hydrogen sulphide odour - a problem that previously caused discomfort has been eliminated.
- Optimisation of the cleaning process - effective cleaning of galvanised details at very low solution concentrations.
- Improving the quality of workpiece processing - optimisation of the process has contributed to a better quality of the final product.
- Reduction in process temperature to 25°C - which has contributed to a significant reduction in operating costs.
- Reducing energy costs - by reducing the process temperature.
- Increasing the service life of the washing bath - The elimination of microbiological problems has resulted in longer system life and efficiency.
Summary
Through the use of technology Kairos successfully solved a key problem for our client. The implementation of this innovative method not only eliminated the offensive odour, but also optimised the entire chemical cleaning processimproving working conditions and reducing operating costs. The client confirmed the high effectiveness and durability of the results obtained, which is excellent evidence of the effectiveness of our solutions in eliminating microbiological problems.
